HORTCULTURIST – Local Council Parks & Gardens

The Role:

• General garden maintenance, planting, mulching and trimming of native flora
• Weed spray and management
• Turf maintenance
• Knowledge in reticulation installation and maintenance
• Experience in Hardscape + Construction, retaining walls and Garden beds etc
• Use of ride on mowers and small plant equipment such as
• Brush cutters
• Chainsaws
• Whipper snippers
• Blowers
• Hedgers & Edgers
• Zero turn ride on mowers or similar
• Working efficiently whilst keeping a focus on your health and safety

Criteria:

• White card
• Experience in the use of Ride on Mowers (desirable)
• Pest Management Technician Licence (desirable)
• Certificate III in Horticulture (desirable)
• Minimum 6 month’s experience within a landscaping role
• Valid driver’s licence (HR desirable)
• Current National Police Clearance
